How did you start your foundation? Was it difficult to get acceptance from the country?

Hi Jackie,

Thanks for your questions. The Obakki Foundation was officially launched last year, but I’ve been doing this kind of work with our partner, Ed Smith, and his charity for over 15 years. Ed has worked hard to gain the respect and cooperation of the Cameroonian people – from the villagers to the military to government officials. Working well with these different facets of the country is essential to our success.

My very first posting on this blog addressed why I started the foundation and I think that it sums everything up nicely!
