Solonge is one of the women featured in our “Who Are You?” campaign in Cameroon. She took a disposable camera and used it to give us a glimpse into her life. When asked for some words to explain her pictures, she told us how proud she is of going to school. For Solonge, education is the key to a better life for herself and her family.

Awesome!!! This project is going to be amazing!!!!
Thank you so much!! I have been so excited to get just a glimpse of what a woman’s life would be like there. How old would she be? She looks so young yet I’m assuming the boys are her sons, or are they her brothers? Now that she has an education does she teach? Is that her house, or a school? Sorry, I just have so many questions
Absolutely love the pigs
I have chatted with Solange a few times.. she is a totally sweetie and is definitely one for female empowerment! I am happy to see a young face here. She was still in secondary school last time I saw her! What a bright future
ps that is the head office for GTC Lewoh, the school that Solange attends.
