Meet Stella (and Jennifer)

Stella and Jennifer make an amazing team. When Stella lost her leg from a motorcycle accident, she had nobody to depend on aside from her 11-year-old daughter, Jennifer. With no means of working, Stella has been relying on the kindness of community members for food and other necessities. Jennifer has left school to assist her mother full time, forced to become the parent of her parent. The bond between these two is immediately apparent – they would do anything for each other. Their love is beautiful to witness.

Meeting them, Treana was immediately struck by their positivity and poise. Neither one complains – Stella is grateful for her daughter’s help and eagerly looks forward to the day she receives her prosthetic leg and can go back to work. Jennifer is happy to help and does the cooking, cleaning and caring for her mother without complaint.

Their faith in each other is inspiring and we are so happy to play a small role in their next chapter.
