SCARVES FOR WATER
500 of these 'limited edition' CAMEL scarves worn around the world build a clean water well for the village of Ukangali.
THE CHALLENGE
Ukangali is located near Bidi Bidi, the world’s largest refugee camp. People have fled famine and civil war in their home country to build a new life in a different country, often with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
Ukangali currently relies on water being trucked in from The Nile and excessive demand makes it severely limited, with women and children spending hours in line waiting for their small ration.
OUR GOAL
The CAMEL scarf supports the village of Ukangali, in Northern Uganda. We select one scarf colour per region and when we sell 500 of these limited edition scarves we're able to drill a well, bringing clean water where none existed. This changes every life in the community for the better.
After fleeing for their lives, the crisis continues for the people of Ukangali.
